I have this running under Windows XP, having previously used it with Windows 2000 - It works seamlessly with both OSs.
I was particularly pleased with the means of injecting power into the cable so that devices can draw juice from the cable.
The connector is small enough for me to use my wireless PC Card in the lower slot - which was very important for me..

Two FireWire sockets are provided, one 4-pin and one 6-pin, on the end of a short dongle. However, the card doesnt provide power for the 6-pin socket, so youll need to purchase an extra power supply if you have a device thats expecting to be powered by the bus. (The ADS 1394 WebCam is an example of this, youll need a 12V 1.5A regulated power supply.) Otherwise it works just fine. I have this running under Windows 2000 with a LaCie 20Gb PocketDrive, which installed transparently without a hitch.
